Mrs. Ambassador Salima Abdelhak had the privilege to meet ,at the Embassy headquarters , some newly-arrived and highly skilled Algerians in computer science , electronic engineering, technology and other technical fields. On this occasion, the Ambassador inquired about the conditions of their stay in the Netherlands , their experiences, academic achievements and their aspirations in their respective field of activity and area of interest. In turn ,attendees expressed their satisfaction with regard to their living conditions and work opportunities in the Netherlands

The meeting offered as well an opportunity to discuss prospects for cooperation with the Embassy in order to give a new momentum to the Algerian presence in the Netherlands, to expand Algeria ‘s scientific and cultural influence overseas and to actively participate in the ongoing construction process in Algeria .

This meeting is deemed to be part of series of scheduled meetings with the Algerian community residing in the Netherlands from all walks of life, in line with the instructions of the President of the Republic to lend an ear to the Algerian expatriates ‘s concerns , support the highly-skilled among them and promote their role in the construction process nationwide .
In the end, a member of the community present at the event was kind enough to offer the Embassy a book that he published himself, that deals with a very updated and relevant topic namely the artificial intelligence. Contributions of this kind can be nothing but a true source of pride and inspiration to all of us. The Embassy is aware that there must be even more alike highly-qualified Algerians living in the Netherlands and is determined to reach out to them at earliest convenience.
