Norwegian Embassy in Algeria Hosts Joint Cultural Exhibition Featuring Norwegian & Algerian Crafts with Presence of Key Norwegian Companies
The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Algeria hosted a joint exhibition showcasing Norwegian and Algerian traditional crafts at the Embassy residence, under the supervision of Ambassador Therese Løken Gheziel.
The event welcomed members of the diplomatic corps, media and artistic personalities, business leaders, Norwegian producers, members of the Norwegian community in Algeria, and representatives of Norwegian companies Wilhelmsen Ship Services and Equinor.
A Cultural and Economic Showcase
The Norwegian section featured:
handmade textiles,
traditional woodcrafts,
Scandinavian-inspired artworks,
traditional Norwegian pastries.
Algerian artisans enriched the exhibition with:
jewelry from Tamanrasset and Kabylie,
traditional clothing from Touggourt,
honey, olive oil, dates,
handcrafted glassware,
books.
Strengthening Cultural & Corporate Bridges
Ambassador Therese Løken Gheziel emphasized the dual cultural and economic dimension of the event, noting the importance of the participation of Equinor and Wilhelmsen Ship Services in reinforcing bilateral cooperation and opening new partnership opportunities between Norway and Algeria.
